Mensagem do Presidente
Dr. Kris Maes

I Portuguese Conference on Robotic Surgery 04 e 05 Jul 2025 Conference Centre Pestana Palace, Lisboa In the first congress of the Portuguese Association for Robotic Surgery (APCIR), oesophagogastric surgery will be featured in a 120-minute session. This session, entirely dedicated to oesophageal and gastric surgery, will host renowned national and international specialists, recognized leaders in the use of robotic surgery for the treatment of these conditions. The programme will emphasise critical aspects of the approach to these pathologies, namely: Oesophageal cancer surgery - Performing intrathoracic anastomosis using the robotic platform in oesophageal cancer surgery, optimising lymphadenectomy, and proper patient positioning and docking with the available robotic platforms. Hiatal hernia - Tips & tricks for the management of hiatal hernia. Gastric cancer surgery - Optimising lymphadenectomy in gastric cancer surgery and oesophagojejunal anastomosis in total gastrectomy. We look forward to welcoming you to this session, confident that the invited specialists will share their ideas and experiences to ensure the highest standards in using robotic platforms for the treatment of these complex conditions.
